Surgical Procedures

Trauma comes in many forms; from facial lacerations, chipped teeth, and avulsed teeth (teeth knocked from their sockets) to fractured facial bones. Dr. Emmett is specially trained to manage all forms of trauma. Facial lacerations are meticulously sealed with plastic surgical techniques. Displaced teeth can be re-implanted and stabilized with splints. Fractured jaws or facial bones are typically treated with special braces and wiring. In some cases however; Dr. Emmett may deem it necessary to use bone plates and screws to realign jawbones.
